April Martinez-Dulay is a Consultative Complex Medical Dermatology Nurse Practitioner at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF). NP Martinez-Dulay and Dr. Jenny Murase worked hand in glove for 14 years and have performed approximately 6800 consults for over 200 dermatologists and allergists in the Bay Area with a focus on the management of recalcitrant itch and dermatitis. She specializes in chronic inflammatory conditions for patients on biologics or other high-risk therapies. NP Martinez-Dulay is an active member of the Dermatology Nurse's Association, the National Society of Leadership and Success, and the California Association for Nurse Practitioners (CANP), and served on the Board of Directors for the CANP Silicon Valley Chapter. She has provided assistance for the Contact Allergen Management Program Optimization Task Force for the Allergic Contact Dermatitis Society and data collection for multiple studies in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and Dermatitis. She served at PAMF in the roles of Clinical Preceptor, Patch Testing Nurse Practitioner, and Clinical Safety Ambassador, and was awarded the PAMF Nursing Scholarship Award in 2020. She was invited to the Northern California Chapter Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association Geriatric Update Conference and is a Health Series Talk Speaker for the Yu-Ai Kai Japanese American Community Senior Service in Silicon Valley. She also provides consultative services as a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for an award-winning diagnostic clinician support system (VisualDx) for the development of educational initiatives to advance clinical decision-making and improve patient care.
